If you aren’t in the .1%, you have no access to the derivatives markets, you have no access to the special deals that hedge funds and other wealthy investors get, and you have no access to the resources, information, strategic services, tax exemptions, and capital that the top .1% is getting.
… I’m a first-year analyst on wall street, and based on what I see day in and day out, I support the OWS movement 100%.
But you should really read the whole thing.

Is anyone else’s dashboard claiming that there are 10 or 26 new posts, and when you refresh, there’s only one?

There’s another attack with something trying pose as Livejournal, but it’s a third party trying to get your account information. It’ll seem as if someone left you a comment, and there will be a popup asking for you to enter your user name and password again.
If anything like this pops up, don’t enter your password. If you already have, go change it now.
Client: “I don’t mean to sound racist, but…”
Me: “But what?”
Client: “But the site is too black.”
Me: “Like, literally too black?”
Client: “Yes. The background is too black.”
Me: “That’s not racist. That has nothing to do with race.”
Client: “Phew. I can never tell with you black people, what’s offensive and what’s not.”
Me: “I’m actually Lebanese. And, yeah, that one might be a bit racist.”
Movers and police refuse a bank’s order to evict 103-year-old Atlanta woman.
She looks very much like my great-grandmother…

Wait, how many sideblogs can I create on one account. That’s madness.
On a side note, I remember asking my parents why no one would hire me (Wen we ere in Virginia - because there’s a Black side (Hampton) and a White side (Yorktown), even though there was more - but not much- diversity in Hampton, and Langley just happened to be on the edge of both.) and they looked at my resume and said “Three years of office volunteer work and trade school before you’re 18 - You’re too overqualified to work at Taco Bell.” As well as this other job in Yorktown as a Network admin’s assistant that I think they just put up USA Jobs because it looks like no one ever got hired for it.
We have quite a few computer repair stores around here - do you think I should offer to volunteer at one?
This sounds SUPER cool.. only posting so I can go back and play around with this later. I don’t think I would ever actually use this as a resume format, but I’m curious to see what mine would look like.
“The reality is that women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It’s just easier this way for everyone. You don’t argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn’t eat candy for dinner. You don’t punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don’t argue when a women tells you she’s only making 80 cents to your dollar. It’s the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles.” -Scott Adams
I love how he almost comes out and says exactly what he actually means, which is, “Women are treated like children and disabled persons because they are incapable of doing things men can”. That’s patently false, and that’s why we’re all pissed that women are getting paid less to do the exact. Same. Things.
What an asshole. Dilbert was mediocre at best, you jackass!
