… only those two kids in the picture can’t be Fred and Roxanne… because their mother has dark skin.
Why on Earth do people forget this?
They don’t forget, they just don’t care. Let’s remember that this is the fandom that has people who didn’t believe that CHO CHANG was Asian and then got angry when they saw she was. Same with Blaise being black.
This might be the most infuriating rumour about Harry Potter I’ve ever seen.
It’s just a stupid rumour, JK never said anything about it. Snape and Lily had had no contact for years, Snape was a Death Eater still severing for Lord Voldemort and Lily was in hiding. Let’s not forget that only after Snape realised that Lily was on Voldemort’s hit-list because of his own doing that he switched sides and became a double-agent and he was perfectly fine with the idea of Lily’s husband and baby son dying if it meant that she could live.
Previously to this the last contact they would have had was at Hogwarts, I’m assuming their fifth year.
With PJO, it all seemed so…fruitless in the end. The monsters would come back, the gods couldn’t be killed. At least Voldemort was only mortal.
Either way, personal opinions; They differ.
It seems like every other person on this site identifies as Slytherin… anyone else notice this? There’s nothing wrong with that of course, I just find it interesting that the other houses don’t even have half as many “pride” confessions.
I should really go through the blog and make a count of “PROUD TO BE HUFFLEPUFF” confessions. I should make a count of all the House Pride confessions for that matter.
Look at all the people mentioning Snape - folks, he was an ass, let’s not try to deny it. A brave person, but an ass.
She turned to stare at him in disbelief before her face lit up into a matching grin. They then began an in depth conversation using the small amount of German and English they knew between them about their favourite and least favourite characters, books, movies, scenes and how much they love Jo for everything she’s done. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life and it was living proof that Harry Potter is not just a book. It’s so much more magical than that.
I think I can dub this “Pity Sex with consequences.”
But have you always been overshadowed by people, and is your best friend the hero of a good piece of the population and finds himself in a competition bound to make him more famous though?
I was actually a little disappointed in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was so small and absurdly crowded, I think it should’ve been its own theme park. I think Harry Potter deserves more than five acres, a place where fans can actually walk through Hogwarts, go on the Hogwarts Express, see a Quidditch field, explore the Shrieking Shack and maybe even visit the Burrow and Godric’s Hallow. All of that was missing, and it shouldn’t be.
“And absurdly crowded”, that’s what happens when a book series big enough to get it’s own mini theme parks is built. They used a lot of the space for decoration (Seriously, just walk through the area to get to the twin dragon ride. So many gardens and tunnels.)
